Jakto Transport Ltd are a family own company based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, who have a vast knowledge and over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, with 90% of our growth being as a result of client recommendations
We undertake Bulk earth works, Excavations, Aggregates, Site Clearance, Demolition, Remediation and Transport haulage projects.
Both our GPS operated D6e Dozer and 360 Excavators operates with Dual GPS which operate off both a base station, or SIM. Dual GPS RTK Standalone (which can be sent anywhere with a phone signal) and total station control for High Accuracy Work. In remote locations our GPS operate off a SIM card system, to ensure works are carried out to the mm, ensuring efficient and economical workings. This also allows us the ability to undertake awkward area of works to embankments, cuts, and fill to falls with mm accuracy to ensure works are carried out right first time with over and under excavations.
The main aim of these investments are to ensure we look after our future generations, by working ecologically and sustainable friendly, with the environment.
This is the same for Full 3D modelling from all data types – volumes as-builts grouped projects, alignments, cut/fill balances.
GPS smartovers from Leica and Trimble, plus Reflectorless total station, remove the need for setting out travellers, and profiles and also remove the need for engineers working in close proximity Point cloud surveys from LIDAR equipped drones & Photogrammetry surveys from standard drones.

We employ over 100 personnel, who are taking care of your highways project, from “Concept to Completion” covering road and dual carriageway construction, road surfacing/re-surfacing, and road maintenance. We plan and carry out all the major constituents of highways schemes in-house, so you can be assured your project will be properly managed, completed on-time and within budget.
Jakto regularly win contracts from local authority and national highways bodies, including some on a quality selection basis, making us one of the largest road construction contractors/ specialists in the North and the Northwest of England. As clients have moved away from traditional tendering techniques, we now routinely take part in the latest procurement methods, including partnering.
From challenging emergency rock cutting remedial works – finished ahead of schedule – to the pre-programmed resurfacing of major highways, we are experienced in planning complex traffic management arrangements, safely ensuring minimal disruption to the travelling public.
We are experienced in operating under the NEC form of contract and regularly deliver projects comfortably within target cost.

Bulk Earthworks
With our team of experienced professionals and by incorporating our modern plant fleet, we are able to ensure projects are completed on time, to budget and in full accordance with the clients requirements.
We own a large fleet of Doosan excavators
Our extensive plant fleet enables us to undertake a wide variety of projects. We have completed a number of £1million+ projects in the UK, and through our expertise and dedicated team we can deal with the most challenging of earthworks and excavation requirements.
Jakto are able to provide a dedicated Bulk Earthworks and materials re-engineering service.
Our full build service includes the provision of on site geo-technical facilities.
Demolition
Jakto undertake all types of Demolition from Major Industrial to Localised projects. Dismantling all projects are staffed by fully trained and certified personnel who work within the companies ZERO RISK POLICY. We are experienced in dealing with all relevant bodies to ensure compliance with current legislation and can offer a service which takes over responsibility for the Demolition on a project from Concept to Completion.
We carry all insurances including those particular to demolition operations to ensure clients, the public and operatives are fully covered at all times. Demolition can be carried out in isolation or as part of a full Reclamation / Remediation scheme which would involve the companies Remediation arm.

Jakto Haulage
We have been offering exceptional service in haulage since the 1960’s.
Our comprehensive fleet of Tipper Trucks are selfsheeting, equipped with on board weighers and operate under our Waste Carriers License at our 12 acre Licensed Transfers Station in Barnsley
WE RECYCLE 100% OF MATERIAL THAT ENTERS OUR SITE ensuring there are no environmental impacts as a consequence of our operations.

Remediation
Jakto has developed into one of the premier remediation contractors in Yorkshire.
With government pressure to utilise Brownfield Sites and the increased costs associated with disposing of contaminated materials, our business has evolved to provide solutions to our customer requirements.
Jakto have developed long-term relationships with existing clients through operating a partnership relationship to dealing with Brownfield sites.
We work to ensure the correct approach is followed, creating a solution which minimises risk and ensures compliance, so a cost effective route can be followed.
We are proficient in the development of conceptual models and remediation strategies, along with implementation and a clear understanding of current legislation and waste management regulations.
Site Clearance
Jakto – construction site preparation contractors – provide a full and inclusive package including; demolition, site clearance, earthworks, and remediation.
Our work is carried out to the agreed specification in both the public and private sectors. We can quickly and efficiently clear sites of all unwanted obstacles such as the removal of redundant concrete bases ensuring services are isolated and disconnected, cleared of general rubbish, undergrowth, small structures, hard standing and soil, making sites fully prepared for development.
We also offer a full package including; site clearance.
